Dr. Black can now monitor your treatment remotely using the Dental Monitoring app! Check your treatment progress, ask follow-up questions and discuss any issues with Dr. Black, all from the comfort of your home. Remote monitoring allows Dr. Black to continue your treatment progress while you remain comfortable in your own home. By working with the monitoring app and ScanBox tools, your smile can continue to improve and Dr. Black can continue to work with you, safely, with the latest innovative technology available for our clear aligner patients. We recommend you use the scan box and cheek retractors! These tools will allow for optimal scan quality and your best smile results!

*At the end of your treatment, Appalachian Orthodontics will have a buy-back program to purchase your gently used box which can be recycled. Please do not drop the box, keep it clean and in proper working condition to qualify for the buyback program.

WHAT TO DO:

1. Go to https://shop-us.dental-monitoring.com/ and purchase your own monitoring box and cheek retractor, which will be mailed to your home. (You pay for the box now* and our practice covers the expense of the software usage by each of you. Up to $250 value.)
2. Let us know once you have purchased the box so we can set you up on our end of the portal

3. Once you receive the box and retractors, download the monitoring app according to directions

4. Text us to let us know you are all set up to start being monitored by Dr. Black and have the box in hand and we will send you an invitation to start monitoring.
