Insurance Coordinator

• Amy has a bachelor’s in business administration from Averett University
• She enjoys meeting new people every day and helping them achieve their oral health goals
• In her free time, Amy enjoys spending time with her family and taking her daughter to softball practice and tournament games
• She also enjoys traveling and crafting
• Amy grew up in the Lynchburg area

BRYAN

Specialized Orthodontic Assistant

• Bryan joined the Appalachian Orthodontics of Lynchburg team in 2020 as a Specialized Orthodontic Assistant.
• His favorite part about his role is getting to build relationships with patients and watching them find confidence in their smiles again.
• Bryan’s willingness to comfort each patient and confidence in providing expert care, not to mention his sense of humor and great taste in music, contributes to the fun and welcoming atmosphere of the office.
• As a Lynchburg native, Bryan appreciates being close to his family and friends and getting to enjoy the beautiful mountain views and sunsets the area has the offer.
• In his free time, Bryan enjoys hiking, going on drives, listening to good music, relaxing and hanging out with family.

MADDY

Treatment Coordinator

• Maddy joined Appalachian Orthodontics of Lynchburg in 2020 as a Treatment Coordinator.
• Her favorite part about working at Appalachian Orthodontics of Lynchburg is building relationships with patients, making friendships, and showing people that we are here to help them.
• She loves to help people feel good about themselves, and believes that confidence is key.
• Maddy is an extrovert and enjoys spending time with friends and family outside of work.
• She enjoys living in the Lynchburg area because it’s well kept and beautiful; not too far from mountains, not too far from sea.

GLORIA

Financial Administrator

• Gloria joined Appalachian Orthodontics of Lynchburg in 2021 as a Financial Administrator.
• Early in her career, she gained the Certified Professional Secretary certification, but has worked in the accounting field for over 30 years. Gloria loves working with numbers.
• This Texas native enjoys working remotely from her home in Corpus Christi, where she is just 20 minutes from the beach.
• In her free time, Gloria and her husband find joy in traveling together and exploring new places whenever they can.
• Gloria is a proud mother of 3 children, and grandmother to 7 grandchildren.
• She values living her life pursuing kindness and joy, and not spending time worrying about the small things.

JEN

Treatment Coordinator

• Jen joined the Appalachian Orthodontics of Lynchburg family in 2013 as our Treatment Coordinator.
• Jen has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and is certified in Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Her favorite part of the job is watching patients achieve more confident, brighter smiles. She prides herself on being a good listener for patients, answering any questions or concerns they may have with an open ear.
• Jen’s hobbies include hiking, reading and kayaking. Additionally, she enjoys being close to the parkway and beautiful mountains.

Nathan

 Orthodontic Assistant

• Nathan joined the Appalachian Orthodontics of Lynchburg team in 2024 as an Orthodontic Assistant.
• He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences and has ambitions to become a doctor.
• He loves forming relationships with patients and learning more about how to help them achieve their desired treatment outcome.
• Outside the office, Nathan enjoys hiking, listening to music, and spending time with his friends and family.

Leilani

Sterilization Technician

• Leilani joined the Appalachian Orthodontics of Lynchburg Smile Squad in 2025 as a Sterilization Technician.
• She chose orthodontics after leaving the military.
• Her favorite parts of the job are organizing and cleaning the tools and getting to “be on the go” all the time.
• Outside of work, Leilani enjoys going to the pool, spending time outside and hanging out with friends and family.
• Leilani grew up in Amherst County and loves the scenic views, especially in the fall! She appreciates how laid back Lynchburg feels while still offering so much to do and see.

Aika

Administrative Coordinator

• Aika joined the Smile Squad at Appalachian Orthodontics of Lynchburg in 2026 as an Administrative Coordinator. She brings a passion for organization and a friendly, patient-focused approach to every interaction.
• She is Six Sigma Yellow Belt certified and has training in HIPAA compliance, data management tools and EMR systems.
• Aika enjoys building strong relationships with patients while keeping their information accurate and organized. She is dedicated to making every step of the smile journey clear, efficient and stress-free.
• Outside of the office, Aika enjoys staying active by participating in fun runs and completing home workouts. Originally from the Philippines, she lives by the quote, “Believe you can and you’re halfway there.”
